Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital In the Community

Serving the community

Diego with PuppyAs part of the veterinary community, we feel it is our obligation to care for rescued pets and pets that are lost, injured, or in need of emergency care through local shelter groups. We have worked with the Santa Cruz County Animal Services Authority to provide the utmost in medical and surgical care for pets at fees that are less than cost for our hospital. We treat these rescued, abandoned, or homeless pets on a daily basis, donating tens of thousands of dollars in free and discounted veterinary care every year. Many of our team members volunteer their time to assist in giving these pets homes until they can be ready for adoption at the shelters. We currently support the Santa Cruz County Animal Services, providing emergency animal care when their facility is not available.  We also offer a free exam for pets that have been rescued from local shelter and animal rescue groups.
