Meet Our Team

My name is Alexis, and I have worked in Veterinary Medicine for roughly 6 years. My love for this field continues to grow the longer I am in it! I started out as a Kennel tech, then receptionist, then Veterinary Assistant, and moved my way up in management along the way. Because of my hands-on background in this field, I not only have a good sense of the managerial aspect of our hospital, but also what goes on behind the scenes, and how to best work with our staff and clients! I love interacting with clients and their fur babies, client education, handling our spicy dogs and kitties that come in, but mostly, being a voice for the technicians and receptionists who work so hard to give your pets the best care possible! I am looking forward to meeting all of our pet-parents, and cannot wait to help continue to grow and improve Companion Animal Hospital!

My name is Naomi. I have worked at Companion Animal Hospital since June of 2022. I went to Fresno State and got my bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with an emphasis in Livestock Management. My interests are to learn more about animal medicine, exotic pets and to further my education. I have three cats, Kiki, who is my wild child, Zeus, my shy boy, and Thumbalina, my sweet old lady. I treat our patients like my own and always have their best interests at heart.

Hi, I’m Kiara. I’m a Veterinary Assistant at Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital. I am also a student at Cabrillo College. I’m currently going to school for a business degree but am interested in getting vet experience and potentially having a business with animals one day. I’ve loved and worked with animals my whole life and have a pet sitting business. I have two dogs, as well as two snakes, a bearded dragon, and a cat. I aspire to give animals the care they so well deserve!!

My name is Miranda. I started my journey in the veterinary field in January 2023 and it has been an amazing learning experience so far. I value every connection made with each of our patients and pet parents, and have grown to love the fast paced environment. I have recently enrolled in Penn Foster’s veterinary technician program to further expand my knowledge in the pursuit of this career. I am most excited to learn about exotic animal care, advanced surgical procedures, emergency medicine.

My name is Matthew and I’m a kennel tech. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2023 with a bachelors in animal science. I’ve been in the veterinary field for about a year total, and my dream is to attend vet school and become a zoo veterinarian.

My name is Sarah. I am new to the veterinary field and just started as a CSR at Companion Animal Hospital this past February. My favorite part about this role is getting to interact with everyone and witness the bond between people and their pets. I myself have the most spoiled pitbull named Arwen. While I love getting to see all the adorable cats, dogs, and occasional feathered or scaly friends here, my dream job would be to work with cheetahs in some capacity.

My name is Lisa and I have worked as a receptionist for almost 2 years now. Prior to working at this hospital, I worked at a pet store and got lots of experience with small critters both furry and scaly. I also grew up with kitties and dachshunds all my life. I’m definitely more of a cat person but I love my doggo at home too. Getting to meet all the dogs, cats, and critters big and small that come to us for care has been the highlight of my time here. I look forward to my growing knowledge base as I gain more experience here.
